We are over at S-P-12 in the Industrial Area of Madanganj. Preciouss Gem Surfaces Private Limited is what it says on our sign. This area is known for all kinds of industrial work, so it's a bit loud and busy most of the time. We work on gem surfaces, which takes a lot of patience and a steady hand. The building is a standard industrial shed. We don’t have any fancy landscaping or a big lobby. When you walk in, you’re pretty much right where the work happens. We have various benches and machines for the surface work. It gets quite warm in Madanganj during the summer, so we have a few big fans going all day. Most of our time is spent looking at different materials and figuring out how to get them finished right. We are not a corporate office with people in ties. We are usually covered in some kind of grit or dust from the polishing. We’ve been at this spot for a while now. Most people find us because they know the industrial area well. We don’t spend money on advertising. We just focus on the pieces we are working on and hope they look good when they’re finished. It’s a small operation but we keep busy enough. Each day is about the same routine of checking the surfaces and shipping them out to whoever ordered them. That is how we operate.
