Niranjan Provisional Store

Niranjan Provisional Store is situated in Gulab Bari, right near the Raja Cycle Chouraha in Pal Beesla. Most people in this part of town know the cycle chouraha, so we’re pretty easy to find. It’s a lively intersection with a lot of traffic going past all day long. We keep the usual stuff like biscuits, soaps, matches, and all the dry goods for cooking. The shop isn't very large, so we have to stack things all the way up to the ceiling. It’s a bit of a puzzle sometimes trying to find where everything went. I usually open up around seven in the morning because the people living in Gulab Bari like to get their milk and stuff before they head off to work or school. There’s a big tree nearby that gives some shade in the afternoons, which is a blessing when it’s hot outside. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. New buildings have come up, and the roads have been paved, but we’re still here in the same spot. We don't really have a big sign, just a small one over the door. People find us by word of mouth mostly. Sometimes the neighborhood kids come in with a few coins to buy some candy, and that’s always a nice break in the day. It’s just a quiet little business running in a busy part of town.
