Mehta Traders Kirana & General Store

The shop is right here in Silora Khatik Colony, specifically at Pinari Chowk. Most people around Kishangarh know where we are because we’ve been at this spot for quite some time now. It is just a regular kirana store where we stock the basic things people need every day for their houses. We have bags of flour, different types of lentils, and those small packets of spices that everyone uses in their cooking. Some days are busier than others, especially in the mornings when women come out to get what they need for lunch. We try to keep the shelves full, but sometimes things run out before the new delivery truck arrives. The shop isn't very large, so things are stacked pretty close together. You might find me sitting behind the counter most of the day or moving crates around to make space. It’s a bit dusty because of the Pinari Chowk traffic, but that’s just how it is around here. We don't have any fancy displays or anything like that. It’s just a place to get your sugar, oil, and soap without any fuss. Sometimes the kids from the colony come in with a few coins for candies, and that keeps us busy too. We know most of our customers by name since they live just a few streets away. It’s a simple life running a store in Silora, just keeping track of inventory and making sure the door is open on time.
