Mangaldeep General Store

Mangaldeep General Store is right here on the Kishangarh Ajmer By Pass Road. We’ve been here for a while. The trucks go by and kick up a lot of dust, so I’m always cleaning the glass on the counters. It’s mostly just me and a helper keeping the shelves stocked with the usual things people need. We have snacks, soap, some grains, and cold drinks in the cooler. The cooler makes a buzzing sound all day long. Most mornings start early, usually around 7, and we stay open till the traffic dies down at night. Sometimes people stop because they have a flat tire or just need a break from driving on the bypass. It is not a very big shop, but we pack a lot into the space we have. There are crates of soda stacked in the corner and bags of flour near the back wall. We don't have any fancy computers, just a notebook where I write down what we sell. The weather gets really hot in the summer and the ceiling fan doesn't do much. I mostly just sit on my stool near the door and watch the road when it’s quiet. People from the nearby farms come in for their weekly supplies too. It’s a simple business, nothing special, but it keeps us busy. We try to keep the prices fair so folks come back. That is pretty much our daily life here on the bypass road.
