Mangal Sweet & Namkeen

Our shop is situated on the Agra Gate Main Road, which is one of the busiest streets you’ll find around here. There’s a constant stream of cars and people passing by our window. We start our work while the street is still quiet, getting the first batches of namkeen into the oil. By the time the shops nearby start opening their shutters, we already have most of our snacks ready for the day. We don’t go in for anything fancy or polished. The shop is just a practical space where we can work and sell our goods. We use simple ingredients and don't try to overcomplicate the recipes. People seem to like that we aren't trying to be something we're not. On the Agra Gate Main Road, you have to work fast because everyone is in a hurry. We’ve gotten pretty good at weighing things out and packing them quickly. Even though it gets busy, we try to have a quick word with whoever comes in. It makes the day go by faster. We’ve seen the seasons change from this storefront, and we know which sweets are popular when the weather turns cold or when the festivals arrive. We just focus on keeping our shelves stocked and the floor clean. It’s a basic way to run a shop, but it works for us and for the people who stop by daily.
