If you go down to Daulat Bagh and hit Diggi Chowk, you will find Mangal Pansari Kanhaiya General Store. We are right on the Diggi Bazar Road, which is a busy place to be. This shop has been around for a bit, and we handle both pansari items and general goods. It means we have those traditional things you might not find in a regular modern store. The smell of spices is pretty strong when you walk in, which most people seem to like. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us working the counter and helping people find what they need. The shop is full of bags and jars, sometimes piled a bit high. It’s a local business, through and through. We know the names of the kids who come in for sweets and the parents who come for their monthly supplies. Living and working in Diggi Bazar means you never have a quiet moment. We like the energy of the street. Our shop doesn't look like much from the outside, but we carry a lot of variety for such a small space. We aren't interested in being the biggest store around, just being the one that people can rely on when they run out of something at home. It’s a lot of work, but it keeps us busy and connected to the neighborhood. We hope to stay here.
