Manak Singh & Sons

We are over here at Purania Mandi. Manak Singh & Sons has been our name for a long time now. It’s a family thing, started by the elders and now we just keep it going. The shop isn't much to look at, just a regular place in the middle of a very busy market area. In the mornings, you can hear all the trucks and people shouting as they unload things. We usually get in early to beat the main rush, though it doesn't always work out that way. There is dust everywhere from the road, and we spend a fair bit of time just cleaning off the counters. We don't have a big staff, just us and maybe a helper if the season is busy. The shelves are mostly full, and sometimes things get a bit disorganized when we have a lot of people coming in at once. We don't really do the whole modern business thing with fancy signs or advertisements. People know where we are if they need us. Most of the folks who stop by are regulars from the nearby villages or people who have been coming to this mandi for years. We just sit here, drink some tea, and handle the work as it comes through the door. It’s a simple life and we don't try to make it seem like more than it is. Just a shop in a busy corner.
