Mahadevi Granites

Our place is out in the Industrial Area in Roopangarh, along the Kishangarh Road. It is a bit of a drive from the main town center, but that is where all the big work happens. Most of the time, the air is filled with the sound of machines and trucks moving back and forth. We have been at this location for some time, just handling the granite slabs as they come through. The yard is big enough for the lorries to turn around, which is important when things get crowded. We don’t have a big fancy showroom with air conditioning or anything like that. It is just a workspace where the stone is kept. My brother and I usually handle the customers who come by. We show them what is available in the stacks. Sometimes the stock changes fast, and other times we sit on the same slabs for weeks. That's just how the stone business goes here. We make sure the slabs are moved carefully so they don't chip. It is a lot of physical labor, and at the end of the day, we are usually covered in stone dust. Roopangarh is a good spot for this because of all the other factories nearby. We know most of the people on this road. We just try to keep things moving and get the orders out to the sites when they are needed. It’s hard work, but it keeps us busy. We mostly just focus on the task in front of us.
