Lovely Pan And General Store

We've been here at Diggi Chowk for a while now. The shop is right by Daulat Bagh, so there are always people walking past. It's a small place, mostly just me and sometimes my brother helping out. We keep all the basic things folks need during the day. You’ve got your cigarettes, matchboxes, and of course, the pan. I spend most of my morning getting the leaves ready and making sure the jars are filled up with snacks and candies for the school kids who come by. It gets really crowded in the evenings when everyone is out in the bazar doing their shopping. The fan inside doesn't always do much when it’s hot, but we manage to stay open. People stop by to grab a quick soda or just to chat for a minute while they wait for their bus. It's not fancy at all. The shelves are a bit old and we sometimes run out of stuff if the delivery truck is late. Diggi Bazar is a noisy place, always horns honking and people shouting, but that's just how it is here. We open early and stay until the market starts to quiet down at night. It’s just a regular local shop where you can get your daily bits and pieces without any fuss. Nothing more to it really. We just try to keep the stock moving and make sure there’s enough change in the drawer for everyone who comes in.
