Laxmi Nashta Bhandar

Laxmi Nashta Bhandar is located on Cinema Road, right by the New Majestic Cinema in the Parao area. It is a very busy spot because of all the moviegoers and the general bustle of Cinema Road. We focus on breakfast and quick snacks because that’s what people around here want. You can always hear the sound of the cinema crowds or the traffic when you are sitting in our shop. We don’t have any fancy air conditioning or plush chairs. It’s mostly just metal tables and stools. We start the fryers very early so that the first batch of snacks is ready when the morning crowd starts moving. The address at New Majestic CinemaParao is quite famous, so it’s easy for anyone to find us. We don’t have a big staff, just family and a couple of helpers who have been with us for a long time. We don't do any promotional events or discounts. The prices are what they are, and we try to keep them fair for the working people who eat here. The walls are covered in some old calendars and a clock that’s usually a few minutes fast. We don’t worry about those things too much. We just want to make sure the tea is hot and the snacks are ready on time every day. It’s a noisy, hectic way to live but we are used to it. Sometimes the floor gets a bit messy when we are really busy but we clean it up as soon as we can. It is just life on Cinema Road.
