Laxmi General Store

Laxmi General Store is situated right at the Bus Stand in Masuda. It’s a busy little corner where people are always moving, especially when the big buses roll in during the morning hours. Our shop is one of those places that has a bit of everything, which is why it looks a little cluttered to someone visiting for the first time. We don't really have a system for decorating or marketing; we just put things where they fit on the shelves. You can find daily food items, toiletries, and some basic household stuff if you look around. Being in Masuda, you get to know almost everyone who lives nearby, and the bus stand brings in plenty of strangers who are just passing through. We spend a lot of time just keeping the place tidy and making sure the supplies are fresh for the next customer. The winters are quite nice here, but the summers can be tough when the wind blows the dust from the bus stand right into the shop front. We just keep a broom handy and keep going with our work. It’s not the kind of job that makes you famous, but it’s steady and we like being our own bosses. People stop by for a quick chat or to ask about the bus timings just as much as they do to buy their groceries. We’ve become a bit of a landmark at the Masuda bus stand over the years.
