Krishna General Store

Krishna General Store is situated in Pal Beesla, specifically in the Shakti Nagar area near Naka Madar. It is a quiet enough neighborhood most of the time. The shop is part of the daily routine for a lot of people living around here. We carry the basic things people need for their kitchens and homes. The shelves are mostly wooden planks we put up ourselves years ago. It is not a big supermarket, just a local corner store where you can grab a pouch of milk or a pack of biscuits without much fuss. We spend a lot of our day just tidying up the glass jars and making sure nothing is expired. The front of the store gets a lot of dust from the street, so we are always sweeping the floor. We have a small stool behind the counter where we sit and watch the world go by through the open door. Naka Madar is a very familiar place to us, and we have seen kids grow up coming into the shop to buy sweets. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to use candles, which makes the place look even smaller than it is. We do not use a computer for our sales. We just write everything down in a thick notebook with a blue pen. It is how we have always done it at Krishna General Store. No need for anything complicated. We are just here for the people nearby.
