Sparsh Marble

Sparsh Marble is situated on Harmada Road in the 3rd Phase. It is near Prena Marble. Madanganj is a busy place. Trucks come and go all day. The dust settles on everything. We spend our days looking at slabs and checking the finish. The sun gets really hot in the afternoons. Sometimes the power goes out for a while. We keep things simple. Neighbors stop by for tea from time to time. It's a long road with many different yards. We've been here a while now. The yard is full of stones from the local quarries. People ask for different sizes and we do our best. We move them with the crane. It makes a lot of noise and the ground shakes. Rain makes the mud thick and slippery. You have to watch your step out there. The office is small but it works for what we need. We have a couple of plastic chairs for visitors. Most days are just about loading and unloading. It’s hard work. My hands are always rough from the stone. But that's the job. Harmada Road is always moving. You see the same faces every morning. We just focus on what's in front of us. No big plans, just daily life here. The marble comes in and it goes out. Each piece looks a bit different. Some have more veins than others. We just arrange them in rows. It’s a lot of heavy lifting. By the end of the day, we are tired. We lock up and head home.
