Jitendra Provision Store

I’ve been sitting here at Bichali Khirki Chowk for a long time now. The shop, Jitendra Provision Store, is right in the middle of Kishangarh New Market, so it stays pretty busy most of the day. You can hear the traffic and people shouting outside all the time. I start the morning by dusting off the counters because the market gets quite dusty. It’s just a regular place where we keep the usual stuff people need for their kitchens—dal, rice, sugar, all that. My father started this and now I handle it. We don't have fancy lights or anything, just the basics. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit there with a torch till it comes back. The neighbors around here are good people, we’ve known most of them for years. It’s not a big supermarket, just a small corner where you can get what you need without much fuss. I try to keep the stock updated so people don’t have to go far. Sometimes the delivery trucks take forever to come because the lanes are narrow. It gets cramped in here when we have a lot of sacks of grain lying around. People come in, complain about the heat, buy their groceries, and head home. It is a simple life and that's how we like it. I usually close up when the sun goes down and the market starts to quiet a bit.
