Jain Provision Store & Garments

Our shop is located right in the middle of the bustle between Nala Bazar and Dargah Bazar. It’s a tight space because we try to carry a bit of everything. On one side, we have all the grocery provisions like bags of rice, lentils, spices, and cooking oil. On the other side, we have racks of garments. It might seem like an odd mix to some, but it works for the people living around here. We spend a lot of our time weighing out grains and packing them into smaller bags. The garment side has shirts, trousers, and some basic wear for kids. We don't have fancy dressing rooms, just a small corner with a curtain. The shelves are packed high, and sometimes you have to use a ladder to reach the stuff at the top. The lighting isn't the best, and it can get quite crowded when more than three or four people are inside at once. Since we are near the Dargah, there is always a crowd outside and a lot of noise from the street vendors. We’ve had this shop for a long time, and the floorboards are worn down from all the foot traffic. We start the day by sweeping the dust out from the entrance and tidying up the stacks of clothes that people have looked through. It’s just a regular neighborhood store where we try to keep the essentials in stock.
