Jai Jagdamba Marbles Store

I'm sitting here at the desk in our shop on Faridabadh Road, looking out at the traffic in Sanshi Basit. Jai Jagdamba Marbles Store has been around this part of Bhagawan Ganj for a while now. It’s mostly just us handling the day-to-day stuff, moving slabs of stone and talking to folks who stop by. We have a lot of marble sitting in the yard. Some days are busier than others, especially when the weather is good for building. People usually come in looking for something specific for their floors or maybe a kitchen counter. We don’t really do fancy brochures or big ads. Mostly, it’s just locals or contractors who know where we are. The dust from the stone gets everywhere, honestly. You spend half the day cleaning it up and the other half showing people the different patterns in the marble. We try to keep things organized, but it's a warehouse, so it’s always a bit of a mess. If you’re driving down the main road, you can’t miss the stacks of stone outside. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. Bhagawan Ganj is a busy place these days. We just stay here doing our thing with the stone. It’s heavy work, and our boots are usually white from the marble dust by the end of the day. There isn't much more to it than that. We open up early and stay until the sun goes down most days. We even keep some water for the workers.
