Italian Marble

Down on Makrana Road in the Riico Industrial Area of Madanganj-Kishangarh, that’s where you’ll find us. This whole area is basically the heart of the marble trade in this part of the country. If you walk outside, all you see is white dust and rows upon rows of marble slabs. It’s a unique place to work. Italian Marble is just one of many yards here, but we keep to our own routine. The noise of the saws cutting through stone is something you hear from morning until night. It’s hard to keep anything clean for long because the marble dust gets into everything. We spend the day moving these massive pieces of stone with the cranes and making sure they are placed correctly. Kishangarh is a busy town, especially with all the buyers and transporters coming through. We don’t use any marketing slogans or fancy sales tactics. People come here because they know this is where the marble is. We just show them what’s in the yard and tell them the price. It’s a very direct way of doing business. The heat in the industrial area can be pretty intense, but we’ve got a small area to take a break and get out of the sun for a bit. It’s a labor-heavy job, but there’s something satisfying about seeing the finished slabs all lined up. We’ve been part of this Kishangarh marble scene for a long time.
