Hari Om General Store

Hari Om General Store is my little corner here in Kekri. It is a simple setup with shelves lining the walls and a few glass jars on the counter for the sweets. I have been running this place for a few years now. Every morning, I sweep the front step and arrange the new stock that came in the night before. It is mostly general items that people forget to buy at the big market. Things like batteries, pens, washing powder, and snacks. The town of Kekri is a nice place to live, and I have many regulars who come by every single day. I know who likes which brand of tea and who is looking for a specific kind of biscuit. It is these small details that make the job interesting. The shop is not very big, so I have to be careful about how much I buy at once. If I get too many crates of soda, there is nowhere for the customers to stand. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when the school lets out and all the kids rush in at once for their treats. I just try to keep everyone happy and moving along. My wife helps me with the accounts in the evening because I am not very good with the numbers sometimes. It is a lot of standing and moving boxes, but I am used to it. I like the feeling of being my own boss.
