Guru Kripa General Store

If you go behind the bus stand in Kishangarh, you will find Guru Kripa General Store. It is a hectic place because of all the buses coming and going all day long. You can hear the drivers honking and the conductors shouting out the destinations. Because we are right behind the station, we get a lot of travelers who are in a hurry. They usually want a cold bottle of water, some biscuits, or maybe a pack of cigarettes before they jump on their ride. But we also have our regulars from the nearby houses who come for their weekly groceries. I have to stay on my toes here. There is always someone coming in. The floor gets dirty pretty fast with all the foot traffic, so I am always sweeping. My brother helps me out during the peak hours in the afternoon. We stock a bit of everything because you never know what a traveler might have forgotten. It gets really hot in the summer, especially with the bus engines idling nearby. We just keep the water cool and the shelves stocked. Kishangarh is a busy town, and being near the bus stand means we never have a dull moment. It is a bit noisy, and sometimes it gets stressful when ten people want something at once, but it is a good living. We have been here for a long time and know the rhythms of the bus schedules by heart now.
