Dollat Provision Store

Padaw is where you’ll find Dollat Provision Store. It’s a simple area and we have a simple shop to match it. We mostly sell the basic things like rice, lentils, tea leaves, and oil. I open up the shop early in the morning, usually around seven, to get everything ready. The shop is a bit dark inside because we don't have many windows, but we have a good light over the main counter. I’ve lived in this area my whole life, so most of the people who come in are my friends or neighbors. We talk about the weather or the local news while I weigh out their groceries on the scale. It isn't a modern place with barcodes or fancy carts. We still write down some accounts in a paper ledger. The shelves are made of simple wood and they’ve started to sag a bit under the weight of the jars. Sometimes the cat from next door comes in and sleeps on a sack of grain, and I have to shoo it away. There is a certain rhythm to the day here that doesn't change much. We just provide what the local families need for their daily meals. It’s a quiet life, but it keeps us busy enough. I wouldn't know what else to do if I wasn't here at Padaw. We aren't doing anything special, just selling groceries to the folks who live nearby.
