Dikash General Store

I set up Dikash General Store right on the Kekri Kota Road because I knew people traveling between the towns would need a place to stop. It is a long stretch of road and it gets quite lonely out here sometimes. Most of my day is spent watching the vehicles go by. When someone stops, it is usually for something simple like a snack or some matches. I also keep a good stock of daily items for the families who live in the small houses nearby. They rely on me so they don't have to go all the way into the main town center. I have got bags of flour, different kinds of dals, and some basic medicines too. The sun really beats down on this side of the road in the afternoons. I have a small radio that keeps me company while I wait. The shelves are made of old wood and they creak a bit when I put heavy things on them. I try to keep the place tidy, but the wind blows a lot of dust in from the Kota road. It is just me here most of the time. I like the peace of it, even if the work is repetitive. There is something nice about helping a traveler get what they need so they can get back on their way. It is a humble shop, nothing more, nothing less. I stay open until the traffic thins out.
