Our yard is located on Harmara Road, right in front of Anukampa Pvt Ltd. This area is known as Madan Kunj in Kishan Gard. Chhajer Marbles and Granites has been around this part of town for a good while. It’s a big space because marble takes up a lot of room. We have slabs standing everywhere. It’s a bit of a maze if you don’t know your way around. Harmara Road is a major route for trucks, so there’s always something being delivered or picked up. We have a small office on the side where we sit and talk to customers. It’s mostly just me and a few others. We keep things pretty simple. People come here looking for stuff for their new houses. We show them what we have in stock. Sometimes we have to get things from the quarries if they want something specific. The stone business is tough on the back, but we like it. The weather out here can be harsh, very hot in the summer and cold in the winter. We just keep working through it. We’ve seen many businesses come and go on this road, but we’ve managed to stay put. We aren’t trying to be anything fancy. We just provide the stone and help load it onto the trucks. That’s about it for us.
