Chandmal Rajendar Kumar Halwai

Chandmal Rajendar Kumar Halwai is located right on the Nasirabad Sadar Bazar Road. It’s a lively area with plenty of shops and people moving about. We’ve been a part of this street for a long time. Our shop is where we spend most of our waking hours, working with flour, sugar, and milk. It’s a traditional kind of place. We don’t have air conditioning or fancy chairs, just the counter and the trays of sweets. Every morning, we check our supplies and start the fire. The smell of frying snacks usually draws a few people in early on. We make things in small batches to keep everything moving. It’s a lot of manual labor, kneading dough and shaping pieces one by one. Our hands are always busy. We get to know the people who live around here, and we’ve seen kids grow up and start bringing their own children to the shop. We don’t do any advertising; we just rely on people knowing where we are and what we do. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to work by candlelight, but the work doesn't stop. We just keep frying and stirring. It’s a straightforward way to make a living. We focus on our daily tasks and hope people enjoy what they buy. There’s always more to do, and we’re happy to keep at it as long as the neighbors keep coming by. It is just a part of the day.
