Bagda Marble Traders

Kishangarh is a busy place for stone. Bagda Marble Traders sits right on the Kishangarh Makrana Road. It gets very dusty here because of all the marble being cut nearby. We spend our days mostly walking around the yard with people who come looking for specific slabs. Sometimes they want something very white and other times they are looking for patterns. It’s heavy work. We have to use the cranes and forklifts to move the big pieces of stone around so people can see them properly. The sun gets really hot on the road and the white stone reflects it right back at you. We have been in this spot for a while now. Most days start early when the trucks arrive from the mines. We unload them and try to keep everything organized, though it usually ends up looking a bit messy by the afternoon. People stop by on their way to Makrana or coming back into Kishangarh. We just sit in the small office when it’s too hot and wait for the next person to drive in. It’s not a fancy place, just a lot of stone and some people working hard to move it. We spend time talking to the drivers, drink some tea, and keep an eye on the inventory. There is always noise from the machines down the road, but you get used to it after a few years of being here. It is just the way things are around this part of town.
