Awanish Marbles Shree Shyam Stonex

Awanish Marbles Shree Shyam Stonex is based out in the Old Industrial Area, specifically at F 36 in Kishangarh. This place is all about the stone. We have huge slabs of marble and granite sitting out in the yard, and when the sun hits them, you can see all the patterns clearly. It’s a dusty environment, no way around that, especially when the cutting machines are running. We wear boots all day because the ground is often wet from the water used to keep the blades cool. It’s an industrial spot, so it’s not exactly pretty. There are forklifts moving around and the sound of heavy trucks backing in to load up. Our office is just a small room at the front with a couple of chairs and a table where we show people samples of what we have. Most people who come here are looking for something specific for their floors or kitchens, and we spend time walking around the yard with them, pointing out the different batches. It gets really cold here in the winter because the stone holds the chill, so we drink a lot of tea to stay warm. We aren't trying to be a fancy showroom; we’re just a place where you can find good stone. It’s hard work moving these heavy pieces, but it’s what we do here in Kishangarh every day from dawn to dusk. We mostly just let the stone speak for itself.
