We’ve been here at Ashu Sweets for quite a while now. Chand Babri is a busy spot, especially in the mornings when everyone is heading to work. Most days, we start pretty early, setting things up and getting the milk ready. The street gets loud outside, but inside we just focus on the sweets. It’s a small place, really. We don't have fancy lights or anything like that. Just some counters and the trays. People from around here know us well. They stop by when they’re going home or if there is a small function in the family. It’s funny how you get used to the same faces every single day. We see the kids growing up, and then they start coming in on their own to buy a few things. The floor gets a bit sticky sometimes when it’s busy, but that’s just how it is in a sweet shop. We try to keep things organized, though it gets a bit hectic during the festival months. You can hear the traffic from the door, which stays open most of the time to let the air in. There isn't much to say other than we are just here, making what we make. Sometimes the weather is hot, which makes the kitchen work tough, but we manage. If you’re walking through Chand Babri, you’ll see our sign. It’s not the biggest one on the road, but it’s there. We just keep doing what we do every day without making any big fuss.
