Ashok General Store

Ashok General Store is located at the Madanganj Churaha on Beawar Road, right in the Gandhi Nagar area of Mangliawas. This is a very busy intersection. There are always cars and bikes honking near the churaha. My shop is right in the middle of all that activity. I keep a lot of different things in stock because people from all over Mangliawas pass by this crossing. We have pulses, spices, plastic buckets, and stationery. The shelves go all the way to the ceiling, and I have a small ladder to reach the top. It can get a bit hot in the afternoons, but the breeze from the open door helps a little. I’ve been at this spot for many years. I remember when the road was much narrower. Now it’s a big highway road. Most of my customers are regulars who live around Gandhi Nagar. We know each other's names and families. It’s more like a community spot than just a business. I don't use any modern marketing. I just put the goods out where people can see them. Sometimes I sit on a stool outside when it’s slow to watch the traffic go by. Madanganj Churaha is never quiet, but that’s good for business. We just keep our heads down and serve whoever walks in. It’s a simple way of living here in Mangliawas. We are just a normal part of the street. It feels okay to be here.
