Amrit Marbles

Our spot at B-7 on Harmada Road in the Kishangarh Marble Mandi is right in the middle of all the action. If you’ve ever been to this area, you know how busy it gets with all the trucks and the white dust that seems to settle on everything. We spend our days surrounded by marble of all kinds. It’s a lot of standing around and talking to people who are building their first homes or contractors looking for a bulk deal. The phone rings a lot, usually someone asking about a specific shade of white or how much a square foot is going for today. The yard isn't huge, but we make use of every inch of space to stack the slabs. Sometimes the wind picks up and blows the dust into the office, so we’re always sweeping. It’s not the kind of job where you stay clean, but we like being part of the Kishangarh market. There’s a certain rhythm to it, the loading and unloading, the checking for cracks, and the constant back and forth with the drivers. We’ve seen the market change over the years, with new roads and more shops opening up nearby, but we just stay focused on our little plot here. We don't have any fancy brochures or anything like that. People just walk in, look at the stone, and we tell them what’s available. It’s straightforward and keeps us on our feet all day long.
