Ajay Misthan Bhandar

If you go toward Agra Gate, you will find us easily enough. We are Ajay Misthan Bhandar. It’s a local shop that has seen a lot of changes in the street over the years. We focus on the traditional sweets that everyone knows. The mornings are the busiest time because people want fresh snacks. My uncle handles the kitchen and I stay out front to talk to the customers. We have a few benches but most people just take their packages and head home. The Agra Gate area is always loud with scooters and people shouting, so it’s never a dull moment. We don't have a website or anything like that. Word of mouth is how people find us. Some days we make a big batch of something special if we get the right ingredients from the market. The floor is usually covered in a bit of flour or sugar by the end of the day. It’s not a corporate place, just a family-run business. We don't have uniforms, just our regular clothes. We try to keep the prices fair so everyone in the neighborhood can afford a treat. Sometimes the lights flicker when the power is bad, but we just light a few candles and keep going. It’s just how things are here near the gate. We are just happy to be part of the local community. We just keep the doors open and the trays full for whoever walks in next for a snack.
