Agarwal Marble House

We are located out in Kishangarh III Phase on Paryavaran Road. It’s a big area with a lot of other stone yards around, so it gets very dusty and busy with trucks. Agarwal Marble House is where we keep all the blocks and cut pieces. Most of our day is spent walking around the lot, showing people what came in recently. The sun out here on Paryavaran Road can be really intense, reflecting off the white stone, so we usually wear caps to keep the glare out. We don’t have much of a formal setup; there’s just a small desk in the corner where we keep the ledger and the phone. Most of the time, the phone is ringing or someone is shouting over the sound of a saw. We have to keep a close eye on the measurements because if a cut is wrong, the whole piece is ruined. It’s a lot of responsibility handling such expensive material, but we’ve been doing it long enough that it’s just second nature now. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish loading a big order that needs to leave early the next day. Our clothes are always covered in that fine white powder that never quite comes out. We just focus on getting the stone out the gate and making sure the inventory stays somewhat tidy, even though the wind always blows the dust back in. That is just how the marble trade works out here.
