Tlapi Organic Farmer Producer Company Limited

We operate out of a small place, House Number 15, right near the Anganwadi in Bulrawmibawk. It is a very familiar spot for everyone who lives around here. Tlapi Organic Farmer Producer Company Limited isn’t a name you are going to see on big billboards or television ads. We are just a group of local farmers who decided to finally pool our resources together. Most of us live within walking distance of each other's houses. Our days start early, usually before the sun is even fully up, because you have to beat the heat if you want to get any real work done. We deal with all sorts of organic produce, whatever the current season decided to give us. It is not always pretty to look at—sometimes the fruit is small or the leaves have a few bug holes—but it is real and it is grown without those weird sprays. We spend a lot of time talking over fences or meeting at the house to discuss the latest prices we've heard. There is no fancy software here, just some old notebooks and a lot of memory. Sometimes the harvest is great and we all celebrate together, and other times the weather ruins a crop and we just have to shrug and try again. It is the only life we really know. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. We are just people from the village working the soil and trying to make sure our families are okay.
