The Coffee Place

You can find The Coffee Place over at House No.B-61 in Zarkawt. We are very close to the Regency Hotel, so if you can find that, you can find us. It’s an old house, and we’ve tried to keep things simple inside. Brewing and making sure the pots are full takes up most of our time. There’s a specific smell that hangs around the place, mostly roasted beans and a bit of the old wood from the house. Zarkawt is a busy neighborhood, but our street is slightly tucked away. Wooden tables and chairs that have seen better days are scattered about, but they are comfortable enough. People from the hotel often wander over when they want something different. A big staff isn't necessary, just a couple of us who know how everything works. Mornings are usually the best time because it’s still cool and the light comes through the front windows just right. Fancy menus aren't really what we do here. We just make what we know how to make. It’s a quiet life here at B-61. Seeing the same faces most days is part of the routine. Sometimes the rain hits the roof so loud we can’t hear each other talk, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. Doors stay open and the heat stays on. We just do our work and wait for the sun to set.
