Samadhaan Pharma Company

The Bhorwadi Pune Highway is a stretch of road that never really goes quiet. We set up Samadhaan Pharma Company right along this route, and being on the Bhorwadi Pune Highway means we are easy to find for anyone passing through. Every morning, I have to wipe down the glass counters because the trucks kick up so much dust as they speed towards Pune. It’s just me and my brother working here most days. We don’t have much in the way of decorations, just the shelves and a couple of plastic chairs for anyone waiting. The sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard in the afternoon, making the tiles feel warm under your feet. We keep a small fridge in the corner for some cold water and some of the items that need to stay cool. There’s a small dhaba nearby where we usually get our lunch. Life here is mostly about checking the boxes that come in and making sure we didn't miss anything on the order lists. It’s not a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy. Sometimes the neighbor from the auto shop next door comes over to chat about the local news or the latest road construction. We’ve seen the highway change a lot over the years, with new buildings popping up, but our little corner stays pretty much the same. We just keep our heads down and handle the daily chores until the sun goes down and the traffic finally thins out.
