If you go down Daware Lane in Hatampura, you’ll find us right near the Historical Musium. It’s a nice spot because of the tourists, though they don’t really need computer repairs. Most of my work comes from the people living around here or the small offices nearby. I’ve got a couple of benches where I keep the machines I’m working on. It’s often a mess of wires and screwdrivers. I handle all kinds of stuff, like fixing slow Windows or trying to recover photos from a dead hard drive. It can be frustrating when a part doesn’t arrive on time, but that’s just how it is. The building is old, so it stays a bit cool even when it’s hot outside. I’ve lived in this area most of my life. I remember when this lane was much quieter. Now there’s always someone honking or trying to squeeze a rickshaw through. I usually have a cup of chai in the afternoon while I wait for a scan to finish. People come in to print their resumes or get some documents scanned. I don’t charge much for the small things. I think people appreciate that. It’s not a big corporate office, just a small place where I can do my work and help people get their computers running again. It is a bit cramped, but we make it work every day.
