Kgn Masala

We are based at Plot No. 27 in Madhuban Colony, right by Savedi Naka. If you know where Vani Nagar is, we aren't far from there at all. Kgn Masala is basically a small-scale setup where we do everything ourselves. It isn't a factory with hundreds of workers. It’s just a handful of us in a residential-style area. The machines we use for grinding the masala are a bit older, so they make a fair amount of noise, which I’m sure the neighbors notice sometimes. We try to get most of the heavy work done in the mornings before it gets too hot inside. The space is a bit tight with all the sacks of spices lying around, but we manage to keep it organized in our own way. We don't spend money on fancy signs or marketing stuff. Most people find out about us because they live nearby or heard from someone else in the colony. We handle everything from cleaning the whole spices to packing them into small packets. It’s a lot of manual work and our hands usually stay stained with turmeric or chili color for most of the week. We don't mind it. It’s how we make a living. We keep the doors open and people just walk in to see what we have ready that day. It's a simple life and we just take it one day at a time, making sure the power stays on.
