Vishvam Impex Pvt. Ltd. is based at No. 204 in the Umiyavijay Shopping Center. We are right near the Shivranjini Cross Road in the Nehrunagar area. It is a busy intersection, so there is always a lot of movement nearby. The shopping center has all sorts of businesses, from cloth shops to consultants. We have been here for a good amount of time. The office is small but we have organized it so everything has its place. Most of our day is spent dealing with imports and exports, which means a lot of checking documents and talking to people at the ports. We do not have a dedicated person for answering phones; whoever is closest just picks it up. It is a casual environment. We usually have the radio playing in the background. The building is older, so it has its quirks, like the occasional leaky tap or a flickering light in the hallway, but it is our home. We like the location because everything we need is within walking distance. We are not trying to impress anyone with fancy furniture. We just want to get the job done right so we can keep going. It is a lot of coordination and staying on top of the little details. We have built some good relationships with the other shop owners in the complex over the years. It is a nice community to be part of, and we enjoy being in this part of Ahmedabad.
