Ramanashree Shopping Arcade

We’ve been here at Bardolpura 16 on Mahatma Gandhi Road for quite a while now. The Ramanashree Shopping Arcade isn't exactly a fancy mall with glass elevators or anything like that, but it gets the job done for the folks around Shahpur Darwaja. Most days start early when we unlock the gates and the shopkeepers begin rolling up their shutters. It’s usually pretty quiet in the morning, then picks up as the sun gets higher. You’ll find all sorts of things tucked away in the different units here. Some people come for specific stuff they’ve been buying for years, while others just wander through because they’re in the neighborhood. The hallways can be a bit narrow and sometimes the lighting is a bit dim in certain corners, but that’s just how it is. We try to keep things tidy, though with so many people coming in and out, there’s always something to sweep or fix. It’s a busy spot, especially on weekends when everyone seems to be out running errands at once. There’s a lot of noise, mostly just people chatting or the sound of traffic from the main road outside. We’ve seen many businesses come and go over the years, but the building stays the same. It feels like a small community inside these walls. If you’re ever near the circle or passing through this part of town, you’ve probably seen our sign. It’s just a place where locals do their thing without too much fuss or bother.
