Vinod Stores

Vinod Stores is tucked away in Manek Chowk, right by Rani No Haziro. If you know Ahmedabad, you know how crowded and lively this area is. We’ve been at 2383 for a very long time. It’s a historic part of the city and the streets are narrow. We sell all kinds of items, mostly stuff for the house. The building is old and has a lot of character, even if it’s a bit cramped inside. We see a lot of tourists passing by because of the monuments nearby, but our regulars are the local residents. It gets really loud during the day with all the shoppers and vendors outside. We just keep the door open and wait for whoever needs something. Managing inventory is hard because there isn't much storage space. We have to get small deliveries often. It’s a family-run thing. Sometimes we drink tea with the other shopkeepers when it’s quiet. We don't have fancy displays or anything. People just come in and ask for what they want. It’s a very traditional way of doing business. We've seen the neighborhood change a lot over the decades, but we’re still here at the same spot. It’s a bit of a struggle with the traffic, but we make it work. Just a simple shop in the heart of the market. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know where to find us.
