Shiv Shakti Ice Factory

Out here in Phase-4 of the GIDC, we run the Shiv Shakti Ice Factory at Plot No. C-1/b/4604. It’s a busy part of the industrial estate. Our days are mostly about managing the water levels and the cooling systems. It’s a loud place because of the compressors humming all day and night. We have a routine that we follow. First thing in the morning, we check the harvest from the night before. The ice blocks are heavy, and moving them takes some effort. We have a small team of guys who handle the loading. We don't have any fancy signs or a big reception desk. If you want to talk to us, you just come to the side door. We deal with fishermen, vegetable sellers, and sometimes event people. The electricity bills are usually high, which is our biggest worry. We just try to keep things efficient. The address might seem complicated, but once you’re in Phase-4, we’re easy to find. It’s a lot of hard work, especially when the temperature outside hits forty degrees. But someone has to make the ice. We’ve been doing this for a long time and we’ve seen the GIDC grow around us. We just keep doing our thing, day in and day out. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know. We just focus on keeping the blocks solid and the customers happy. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy enough.
