Ujala Creation

Our place, Ujala Creation, is located on the ground floor of Firdos Flat. We are right across from the Holiday Inn in Khanpur, which makes it easy to explain to people who are visiting for the first time. It’s a busy area with a lot of people coming in and out of the hotel and the nearby shops. Being on the ground floor means we see a lot of what’s happening on the street throughout the day. We do a lot of creative work here, mostly with clothes and designs. The shop is filled with rolls of fabric and half-finished pieces that we are working on. It’s a bit messy sometimes, with threads all over the floor and sketches pinned to the walls. We don’t have a corporate office feel at all. It’s more like a workshop where things are actually being made. The light coming in from the front windows is usually good for sewing. We’ve had this spot for a while and the people in Khanpur know us. We don't do much advertising at all. Most people just walk in because they saw something they liked in the window or heard about us from a neighbor. We just try to do a good job with the fabric and keep the machines running well. It’s a simple life here at Firdos Flat, and we like being part of the local community near the hotel.
