If you are looking for landmarks, the Telephone Exchange is very close, and we are right opposite Anmol Tower. It is a bit of a dual setup here because we run the beauty parlour but we also have classes. We teach people how to do what we do. It gets pretty lively when we have students in the back learning and customers in the front getting their hair or nails done. It’s a busy little space in Naranpura. We’ve been here long enough that most of the local residents know exactly where we are. We don't spend money on fancy decor; we just keep the place functional for both work and teaching. Sometimes the apartment stairs are a bit narrow when everyone is coming and going at once. We usually have the radio playing in the background while we work. It’s a lot of long hours, especially when we have a full class of students. But it is good to see people learning a skill they can use to start their own thing. We just focus on the task at hand, whether that is a haircut or a lesson on how to thread eyebrows. It is a simple life here in the middle of Ahmedabad’s Shastri Nagar. We don't bother with much else besides our work and the students.
