The Gateway Computers

We run things out of No. 6/91 in Bhadreshwar Society. It’s a quiet enough area compared to the main roads. The Gateway Computers is the name we use. Being inside Bhadreshwar Society means we get to know our neighbors pretty well. Most of the people who come in live just a few houses down or a couple of blocks away. It doesn't feel like a big corporate office because it isn't one. It’s just a ground-floor space where we’ve set up our desks and testing stations. We have a lot of spare monitors sitting around and boxes of cables that we really should organize better. My cousin helps out sometimes when things get busy. We spend our time fixing software issues or swapping out broken parts. It’s not glamorous work, but it’s what we do. The fan in the corner hums all day to keep the heat down. We don't have a fancy website or anything like that. People just hear about us through word of mouth or see the sign when they are walking through the society. We usually have a pot of coffee going. Sometimes a customer will stay and chat for twenty minutes after their computer is fixed. We don't mind. It’s nice to have the company. We just try to be honest about what needs doing and how long it’ll take. That’s pretty much the whole story of our little shop here.
