Textile Machinery Mfg.Co. is located right near Kamdar Maidan on Gomtipur Road. This part of town has a long history with textiles, and we are right in the middle of it. Our workshop and office have been here for years. It is an old-school kind of place. You can hear the sounds of metal being worked on and machines being tested throughout the day. We focus on making and fixing the equipment that the local mills and smaller shops use. It is a dusty environment, and it is often quite loud, but that is the nature of manufacturing. We do not have any polished sales pitches. If a machine breaks down, the owners come to us because they know we have the parts or can weld something back together. Our staff is made up of people who really understand how these old machines work. We have blueprints and tools scattered all over the place. It is not the most organized-looking shop, but we know exactly where the 10mm bolts are kept. Sometimes we sit outside by the road for a break when things get too hot inside. We have seen the neighborhood change a lot over the decades, but the need for good machinery stays the same. We just keep doing what we know how to do, one machine at a time. It is hard work, but it is honest and it keeps the local industry moving.
