You'll find SP Electric & Engneering Co. at 2, Hiramoti Chambers, which is right in the Khadia and Golwad area. This is a very old part of the city, and the streets are quite tight, which makes it interesting when we have to get supplies delivered. The building, Hiramoti Chambers, has been around for ages and our unit is on the ground floor. We do a lot of engineering tasks along with the electrical work, so there are always tools scattered around and the smell of grease in the air. It’s a practical workspace, not a showroom. We have some heavy benches where we do most of the assembly and repair work. The lighting isn't the best, but we have some strong lamps for when we need to see the small parts. Our team consists of a few experienced hands who have seen almost every kind of electrical problem you can imagine. We don't use big words or try to act like a corporate giant; we just talk to people plainly about what they need fixed or built. In Khadia, everyone knows everyone, so we often spend time chatting with the neighbors or the delivery guys who come by. It’s a bit of a messy place sometimes with wires hanging and metal scraps in bins, but that’s how we work. We just focus on the engineering and make sure the stuff we build actually works when it leaves the shop.
