Being up on the eighth floor of C Block in The First building gives us a bit of a view of the Satellite area. We are in room 806. Finding the place can be a little annoying for some because the building is tucked behind the Keshav Baugh party plot and near ITC Narmada. Most of us just follow the same routine every day. We park downstairs, wait for the lift, and head up to our corner. Skara Technologies is basically a bunch of desks and a lot of computer screens. It’s not the kind of place with a ping-pong table or a fancy lounge. We just show up and do the tech work. It is usually pretty quiet in the office, except when we are debating something over lunch or when the coffee machine is acting up again. The area outside is always busy with people going to parties or staying at the hotels nearby. We can hear the distant sound of traffic even from this high up. We have been in this spot for a while and have gotten used to the quirks of the building. Sometimes the air conditioning is too cold and we all end up wearing sweaters in the middle of summer. We don't have a big corporate vibe here. It is just a group of people trying to keep things running smoothly. We know the security guys by name and we usually stay until the sun goes down and the city lights come on.
