Shreeji Provision Store

We are located in Getalpur, right on the Jetalpur Hosar Road and directly across from the Primary Health Center in Aslali. Being near the health center means we see all sorts of people all day long. Some are just stopping by for a bottle of water while they wait, or others are picking up some soap and washing powder for their homes. Shreeji Provision Store is a packed little place. I try my best to keep the shelves organized, but with new deliveries coming in, things often get piled up in the corners. We sell mostly the staples like rice, wheat, sugar, and various tea leaves. I’ve lived in Aslali for most of my life, so I know a lot of the families who come in here. It’s not a big supermarket with bright lights; it’s just a shop with a counter and a few rows of goods. The road outside can get quite dusty with the trucks passing through to the highway, so there’s a lot of cleaning to do every day. The ceiling fan wobbles a bit and makes a clicking sound that I’ve stopped noticing. Sometimes a customer will come in just to chat for ten minutes while I weigh out their pulses. It gets hot in the afternoons, and the door stays open to catch whatever breeze there is. We just focus on keeping the stock full so people don't have to go far for their daily needs. It’s practical, everyday work for us.
