Shree Sonal Karni Handicraft House

You can find us up on the 3rd floor of Alphaone, specifically at Shop No-9. We’re right there in Vastrapur, not far from the lake at all. Being in the mall means we see a lot of people just passing by, especially on the weekends when it gets really crowded. Our shop is packed with all sorts of handicrafts that we’ve gathered. It can be a bit of a squeeze inside when more than a few people come in at once because we have so many items on the shelves. We’ve been here for some time now, and we’ve gotten to know the other shopkeepers on this floor pretty well. Sometimes the mall air conditioning is a bit too cold, so we usually have a sweater handy. We spend most of our day unpacking boxes or dusting off the smaller pieces that tend to get lost in the back. It’s just a regular local business, nothing too polished or shiny. We take pride in the stuff we have, but we don’t make a big fuss about it. The walk near Vastrapur Lake is nice after we close up for the evening. We just keep the shop open, wait for customers, and chat with whoever stops by to look at the work. It’s a simple way to spend the day at Shree Sonal Karni Handicraft House, surrounded by things made by hand.
