Shree Ramdev General Store

We’ve been here on Arbudanagar Road for quite a while now. Most days start the same way, unlocking the heavy shutters early in the morning before the traffic in Odhav really picks up. It gets pretty noisy outside with the trucks and bikes passing by 97, but we have gotten used to it over the years. The store is just a regular place where people stop by for their daily things. Sometimes someone needs a specific brand of soap or a pack of biscuits, and we try to keep the shelves full as much as we can. It’s not a fancy shop. There is usually a bit of dust because of the road work that always seems to be happening nearby, but we sweep it out every morning. My father started this business, and now I am here behind the counter most of the day. We know most of the people who live around here by their faces, even if we do not always remember their names. Sometimes it gets busy, especially in the late evenings when everyone is heading home from work. Other times, it is just me sitting on the wooden stool waiting for the next person to walk in. We do not have a website or anything like that, just this physical spot in Ahmedabad. If someone asks for something we do not have, we try to get it for the next time. It is just how it goes for us.
