SHREE RAJ TRADERS

Our shop, Shree Raj Traders, is right on Gita Mandir Road. If you know the area, we are directly opposite Lati Bazar and very close to the S.T. Stand Char Rasta. It’s a very busy intersection. People and buses move constantly. We’ve been here for years, dealing with all sorts of trading goods. The front of the shop is usually packed with whatever we have in stock that week. It’s a noisy spot because of the traffic. That’s just part of life here. We open early in the morning to catch the first wave of customers coming from the bus stand. Most of our day is spent unloading crates or weighing out items for people. We don't have fancy displays. We just put things where they fit. The shelves go all the way up to the ceiling. Sometimes you need a ladder just to find what a customer asked for. It’s a family-run feel. Even with the extra staff, we still know the other shopkeepers around here and look out for one another. Dust from the road gets in. There's a lot of sweeping to do. We don't use high-tech systems for every little thing, just old-fashioned ledgers and a lot of patience. People come to us because they know we are always here and we have what they need in the back somewhere. It’s a simple business but it keeps us very busy every day.
