Shree Jalaram Packers

Our place is tucked away at Plot No. A-6 in the Pethani Timber Market. Being over here in Kunjad Village, specifically the Fort area, means we are surrounded by wood and sawdust all day long. Shree Jalaram Packers is basically a bunch of us working with crates and timber to get things ready for transport. The air always smells like fresh-cut wood, which is nice, but it gets everywhere. We have some big saws and a lot of hammers going from morning until the sun goes down. It’s a very local kind of operation. We know most of the other guys in the timber market by name. Sometimes we help each other out if someone’s truck gets stuck in the mud after a heavy rain. The village vibe is still there even though it's a market. We don't have a big corporate sign or anything. Most people find us because they know where A-6 is or they saw our stacks of wood from the main road. It gets busy during the harvest seasons or when the big factories nearby need a lot of shipping crates at once. We just keep our heads down and do the work. The floor is never really clean because as soon as you sweep, more shavings fall. It’s just how a packing place works. We’ve been here long enough that the routines are set in stone.
